A quiet presence with a commanding calm, The Archivist is a sculptural lamp that honours memory, language and reuse.
Hand-built from reclaimed cardboard, paper clay and carefully selected pages from discarded dictionaries, this large cat lamp functions as both ambient light and contemplative object. Its upright, watchful form references the cat as guardian — of knowledge, of space, of stillness — while the soft, diffused glow brings warmth without glare.
Each lamp is individually made. Subtle variations in surface texture, printed text and tone are part of its character and reflect the materials’ previous lives.
Designed as a statement piece for living rooms, reading corners or creative spaces, The Archivist invites you to slow down and live with objects that carry a story.
