Echoes of Growth

This pair of square works combines black thread centers with surrounding frames of textured green burlap. The black centers feel dense and mysterious, pulling the viewer inward, while the green frames soften the edges with a sense of nature and renewal. The roughness of burlap contrasts with the precision of thread, creating depth and harmony. I wanted to explore how personal growth often starts in hidden or challenging spaces. The black center represents uncertainty or struggle, while the green burlap and outward-reaching threads symbolize resilience, transformation, and the slow unfolding of life’s strength.
