We at AYA take our customer satisfaction seriously and we will deliver the products that you purchase on aya.africa, as quickly as we can. We recommend that you read the information on this page, together with our terms and conditions and privacy policy pages.
It is important to understand that, AYA Africa is a platform, that enables African makers and creatives, to load, showcase and sell their great products online, so you can purchase as gifts for yourself, friends, family and more.
We take the quality of the products that we list seriously. In light of this, our courier partners collect your “freshly baked” products, right from our trusted vendors and deliver them to your designated address.

They may also get in touch with you to get more information or clarity on your order, or coordinate with you, to get your products safely to you in good time.
"shipping" means the process and period involved, in the movement of products from the vendor or supplier warehouse or collection point.
"Delivery" means the process and period by which the product arrives at the destination.
All orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. This notification will also include details regarding how to track the delivery of your order. Your order status will remain in "processing" state, until shipping is confirmed by our courier partners. Should there be any delays, or unavailability of your purchase items, we will notify you, offer alternatives, or remedy accordingly. A full refund will be due, in this case.

Its very important to be aware that some products are made-to-order or crafted once an order is placed and therefore, may take longer than our 5 day delivery period. Please reach out to us at hello@aya.africa, if you want more details on when you can expect your order.
Because our vendors are located all over the continent, If you bought from different vendors, in the same order, please be aware that your items may arrive at different times, potentially from different couriers.
As soon as your order is delivered, please inspect your products, to make sure that you are happy with the items.

All orders are shipped FREE of charge. International destinations (outside South Africa) for shipping can be handled on a case by case basis. In this event, we will coordinate with our vendors, to get you the best options, to get your order delivered to you. In some cases, our international vendors have local stockists and local free delivery also applies. Please be aware that for bulk orders, we can discuss relevant freight or appropriate methods, to deliver your bulk order, within good time. More on international shipping below.
We are able to ship to locations outside of South Africa, depending on
- type of product
- location for delivery
- minimum order quantity requirements
- any other known import or export restrictions
Once your order has been confirmed and our courier partner has been booked, you will receive your tracking code and link. To track your delivery status, you may visit the link provided to you, enter your tracking number and view the status. We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at customercare@aya.africa. We do look at these on a case-by-case basis and do our best to make sure there is a fair and satisfactory result on the all queries.
