Bull Terrier X Africanis Lamp

Alert, loyal and quietly watchful, The Lookout is a sculptural lamp that captures the attentive posture and distinctive silhouette of a Bull Terrier X  Africanis.

Hand-built from reclaimed cardboard, paper clay and carefully layered pages from discarded dictionaries, this lamp balances character with restraint. Its upright stance and forward gaze suggest readiness and devotion, while the exposed bulb — held gently at the muzzle — casts a warm, focused glow that feels both playful and intentional.

Each piece is individually made. Variations in text, pattern and surface markings are part of the design, revealing fragments of language and history embedded within the form.

Designed as a statement lamp for sideboards, desks or reading corners, The Lookout brings personality, warmth and material honesty into a space — without becoming novelty.
