When it comes to colic, this is a preventative for spasmodic colic
and will help to prevent an obstruction colic. If your animal does
develop colic, consult your vet immediately and continue to use to
keep the gut relaxed while you wait for your vet.
Often, an obstruction colic is caused from an internal tumour
or fatty build up which, as it grows, slowly starts restricting the
intestines or bowels , depending on where in the digestive system
the lump is. At a certain point, the lump gets so big that things can
no longer pass through, which is then the onset of an obstruction
colic. There are other causes, this is just one of the main causes.
